* Chatham Candidates Forum

   At the UU Meeting House:

   Monday, April 14, at 4:00 PM

Are you concerned about Chatham issues such as water, sewers, housing, the airport, and offerings for seniors?  We are approaching an election to choose community leadership.  The UU Meeting House will host a Meet the Candidates event. The four candidates, Jeff Dykens, Mike Schell, Brian Phillips, and Stuart Smith, will be present to educate us on their positions on important community issues. We invite the community to this opportunity to be an informed voter.

Hope to see you on the 14th!

* Spring Clean-up

On Saturday, we took nine barrels of brush, leaves, and trimmings to the transfer station to spruce up outside the building. Thanks to Mary B, Pam E, Evan H, Danielle J, and Joe Z for working in the cold drizzle!

“What Will You Do God, When I Die?” with Rev. Dr. Barbara Whittaker-Johns

Easter & Our Own Stories of Resurrection. Christmas reminds us of stories of the incarnation, the embodiment of the holy at birth. Easter reminds us of stories of the resurrection, of the holy persisting in a new, yet unknown, way after the death of the body. In the Christian tradition, the central figure of the Easter story is Jesus. Other faith traditions and spiritual orientations, as well as some scientific perspectives, encourage us to take the Easter story to heart and mind as being one about nature-life itself. The poet Rilke, quoted in the service title, reminds us that since we are part of life itself, the Easter story also shows up in tales from our very own lifetimes of birth and death.

"Nature and the Spiritual" with Rev. Chris McMahon
There are many ways for a person to access the spiritual side of their being. It can be different for different people. But one of the best ways is to spend time in nature. This is because we are all a part of nature. How are nature and spirituality connected? We can certainly find the answers to this here on Cape Cod.
